Hikari Ryuza Ryu Kan

Hikari Ryuza Ryu Kan, Dr. Crimi and Professor Joy Geary

This year the Hikari Ryuza Ryu Kan (School of Martial Arts) is celebrating 30 years of continuous service here in Nevada County. It is owned and operated by Professor Geary, a sixth degree black belt, who trains from the Head of the System, Dr. Crimi, having 48 years in the art.

Through Jujutsu students improve the development of their bodies and minds from physical conditioning, concentration, perseverance and respect. These character building qualities transmit to all aspects of life and lead to grater confidence, better health, vigor and a more cheerful disposition.

Whether the aim is self defense, a creative outlet, stress relief, or just to get into shape the Hikari Ryuza Ryu Do Kan is the place for people of all ages to develop important and sought-after life skills.

Through community service, Dr. Crimi and the Dojo have been the Defensive Tactics Instructors for Nevada County Law Enforcement for the Past 30 years at no charge. In 2005 he received the Meritorious Service Award from the Nevada County Sheriffs Office. Dr. Crimi travels the world teaching integrative medicine and Jujutsu.

Professor Geary hold classes 7 days a wee, mornings and evenings, for children and adults, as well as specialty classes for Women’s Self Defense, classes for the disabled, private instruction and Law Enforcement.

Dojo is located in Penn Valley and can be reached at Dr. Crimi’s office: 432-5588
