Throughout the year, a number of theatre groups, the Community Asian Theater (CATS) and The Foothill Theatre Company to name a couple, delight local audiences. The Center for the Arts and the historic Miners Foundry Cultural Center, as well as other venues, host a diverse mix of theater, film and other events.
The beautifully forested Nevada County Fairgrounds is home to a series of unique events which draw attendees from miles around year round. Music in the Mountains offers a full spectrum of classic music spring, summer, winter and fall.

Lake Wildwood Theatre – Lake Wildwood Theatre is a non-profit community theater corporation consisting primarily of Lake Wildwood residents, dedicated to providing live theater to entertain and enrich our community and to encourage member participation by providing growth and educational opportunities through a variety of theatrical experiences both on and off stage. The Theatre group normally stages two productions per year, in the spring and in the fall.
